Taken from our YouTube channel, here is a great Photoshop tutorial showing you how to delete the background from an image, and replace it with a funky new design. The tutorial uses the lasso too (you can also draw a path using  the bezier tool and convert the path to a selection) to trace around the image and delete the background. We then add some effects to the image (such as inner and outer glow) to make the image look more natural and disguise the fact that we have cut it from the background. Finally, we add a simple but effective background design to the image, all within Photoshop, using brushes with different modifications like jitter and scatter.
